Every now and then a friend and I just get a hankering to cook up something for other people. We invite, but you never know who'll end up coming for dinner—and we're the richer for it. Menu planning is the hardest part because we have too many great ideas. Sometimes we do a theme, such as The Fifties As Our Moms Did It (wearing clothes her mom actually owned!). Sometimes we experiment on our unsuspecting guests. Hey, it's a free meal!

Seafood lasagna took center stage tonight, and it was a resounding success. Julia Child would have been proud of that white sauce!
We stopped mid-afternoon just to marvel at the atmosphere. Women in the kitchen together. When it's good, it's so good.
Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. 1 Peter 4:9
