I'm talking about a clean, dry, black driveway. It's important to me, and I generally give it a lot of energy. Hosing and sweeping in the summer, and shoveling and chipping off ice in the winter.
Last week I did a little chipping during my lunch hours, but It was really just a half-hearted effort. I look at it every morning, and it's still icy slush.
Why? Now I know. It's the reason I picked up my old walking shoes from the gym and the reason I spent over an hour picking out a new pair weekend before last. I NEED to walk to work (only 6/10 mile away)-- move the meat, push the tush. But the driveway's icy and too dangerous.
Rescue the perishing; don't hesitate to step in and help. If you say, "Hey, that's none of my business," will that get you off the hook? Someone is watching you closely, you know— Someone not impressed with weak excuses. Proverbs 24:11
