"I woke up happier than I have any other day of my life," beamed the King around noon today.

Wow! He has lived 22,910 plus a few leap year days. But today he woke up happier than any of those.

In light of the fact that he's been short-changed on sleep and bearing family and work burdens, I listened for the how and why. And it didn't take long -- good news has a way of spilling.

"Knowing today would be difficult, I prayed and prayed last night that God would help me to just enjoy it. When I woke, I considered that long, hard day for just a second; and then my eyes caught the sunshine outside, and I've been happy ever since."

His cheerful testimony changed my day.
